Articulate Engage Interaction (iPad theme)

Submitted by Kingsley πŸ‘‘ on Thu, 06/03/2010 - 12:05

This is my second custom Engage interaction and boy have I learned a lot! My next project just might be to rewrite the documentation for the Engage SDK...
This interaction was inspired by the new iPad. You can use the standard Engage options to turn the navigation on and off... and you can lock it to linear playback.
Click the screen shot to play with a live sample.
Watch the screenr to see more features.
Purchase it for a mere ten bucks at eLearningEnhanced.com

hi,
got a bit of a problem with this interaction: even though I've set playback options as interactive, just for a little while not even for a second (at the very beginning), this blue icon 'you can't skip ahead' flashes - how can I get rid of it?
in addition, is there a way to customize the 'next' and 'back' text labels?
great interaction by the way!
kind regards,
marta burda

Hmm yes I see what you mean about the flash at the beginning.. I will update the file soon and upload a new version.
I should be able to make the labels dynamic as well so that you can set them.

Hi James, great work as usual.
A quick question about your background graphic in this example. Can you add a background graphic via this interaction? I was thinking about adding the standard iPAD image (I think it's called "falling stars")? I know you can fudge the background – but I was just curious if I can just browse and select one?

Cheers

Hi there, this looks like a great interaction! Just wondering: wWhat would happen if there were more than 15 items in the menu?

It wont let you place more then 15 on the screen.
If you have more then 15 you may want to rethink how your course is set up... that is a lot for the brain to suck up!

Great interaction! Any chance of getting a version with different background instead of the current one?

Yikes - it looks like the price on eLearningEnhanced.com is $50 - is that right? Is there somewhere I can purchase this at the original $10 price?

I was also wondering the same thing about the price of the interaction.... any coupon code or anything for the original price?

I have audio on each step of this interaction. However, the first time the NEXT button is clicked in the upper right corner to continue to the second step, the audio for both step 1 and step 2 are heard - it sounds like dubbing.

I have tried to remove the Introduction slide and just start with the steps and it still does not fix the issue. Please help!
